Buying at Auction
John Taylors hold ten catalogued sales each year at the Wool Mart on Kidgate in Louth. Each auction has a mix of antique and collectable items along with some household goods. Auctions are always held on a Tuesday. Our illustrated catalogues are available online from the Wednesday prior to the auction date on this website and the-saleroom.com or you can subscribe to receive a catalogue by post.
Auction Viewing Times
Viewings for Antique, Collectable and Household Auctions are usually held:
Sunday Prior 2pm-4pm ,Monday Prior 2pm-5.30pm, Morning of Auction from 8.30am
Viewing for December Evening Auction of Silver, Watches & Jewellery is usually held:
Sunday Prior 2pm-4pm (No viewing Monday) Afternoon of Auction from 4pm
Image Requests & Condition Reports
Most significant lots are photographed and available on the online catalogue, we will however endeavour to meet requests for additional images with the exception of low value boxes of items. Verbal condition reports are given during viewing times as listed above.
Buyers Terms and Conditions
Our buyers premium is 15% plus VAT. Methods of payment include Cash, Debit Cards and Credit Cards (Credit Card payments incur an additional fee of 2% plus VAT). View terms and conditions of sale.
Postage and Packing
We can pack parcels for you and organise delivery with the postal service you request. There is no minimum fee and postage is quoted when the parcels have been packaged. All packing and postage is however at the purchaser's own risk.
