James Laverack, BLE, MRICS
Chartered Surveyor and Director

James is a Chartered Surveyor who joined the firm in 1991 after graduating from the University of Aberdeen with a degree in Land Economy. He became a Director in 1995. He is predominantly based at The Wool Mart auction rooms in Louth but is also active in the property departments at both the Louth and Market Rasen offices. As senior valuer at the auction rooms his specialisms are 18th and 19th century English ceramics and furniture. His enthusiasm for architectural heritage is well utilised as Chairman of Louth Civic Trust.

Robert Laverack, BSc, MRICS
Chartered Surveyor and Director

After graduating from De Montfort University in 1993 Robert worked for the Valuation Office Government Agency in Grimsby for two years before joining the family practice in 1995. He qualified as a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 1996. Robert specialises in residential valuation work and has a particular interest in period homes and original features. Sporting interests include rugby and cycling and he is active in the local community being a member of the Louth and District Lions Charity Club for over 12 years.

Accounts manager

Jo joined the firm in 2002 as our Accounts Manager. She started her career in accountancy practice, training with PKF and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1994, before moving into industry in 1998. She is responsible for running all the office accounts and managing the client account records.

Steve Driffill, MNAEA
Residential Valuer and Branch Manager

Having spent his life in and around Louth, Steve has a wealth of knowledge of the local area, and has progressed from sales negotiator to become a valuer and branch manager. With a longstanding career in the service industry, Steve has great inter-personal skills and is a competent sales person. He leads the Louth team, ensuring the highest standards of professionalism and customer service.

Helen Towl
Sales Negotiator

Having spent most of her early life in the Louth area, Helen went on to Graduate from the University of Huddersfield with an (Hons) degree in Education and Training. Helen taught at Monks Dyke School, Louth for 10 years before travelling to the Middle East to become an Educational Consultant. Helen Joined John Taylors as a Sales Negotiator in 2017; she has many years of experience in customer relations as well as a wealth of knowledge of the local area.

Dorrien Foster
Sales and Letting Administrator

Having spent 12 years working as a conveyancing secretary in a leading Nottingham law firm Dorrien joined John Taylors in 2009 following a move to the county. In 2013 she took over administration of the residential lettings department at the Louth office.

Julie Shaw
Sales and Letting Administrator

Having previously spent 16 years in residential property management, Julie had a short period in retail before joining John Taylors in 2013. Julie's extensive property related experience and enthusiastic disposition are all useful tools to have in residential sales and lettings.

Angie Wrisdale, MNAVA
Auction Room Assistant Valuer

Angie joined the auction rooms in 2014 having previously spent 12 years working for solicitors. In 2017 she gained the NFoPP Technical Award in Chattels Auctioneering and is now a Member of the National Association of Valuers and Auctioneers. Angie takes a keen interest in Art and 20th century ceramics at the auction rooms and enjoys genealogy and music in her spare time.
